Your videos

Videos you open are processed by your own browser, using WebCodecs or FFmpeg compiled to WebAssembly. They are never uploaded to us or anyone else. When you close the tab, the in-memory copies are gone.

The "Ask" assistant

If you type a question, we send the question and, when a clip is loaded, its measured numbers (length, resolution, frame rate, size, codec, target size and which codecs your browser can encode) to an AI model through Vercel AI Gateway to generate an answer. The video itself is never sent. We don't store questions. A short-lived counter keyed by IP address limits how many questions one connection can ask.

Analytics

We use Ahrefs Web Analytics to count page views. It doesn't use cookies and doesn't see your files.

Stored on your device

Your last-used target size, codec, audio bitrate and frame rate are saved in this browser's localStorage so the tool remembers them. Nothing else.
