SqueezeVideos is built with privacy at its core. This privacy policy explains how we handle your data when you use our service. The short version: we don't collect, store, or have access to your video files.

How Your Videos Are Processed

All video compression happens entirely in your web browser using WebAssembly (FFmpeg.wasm). When you upload a video:

• The video file stays on your device
• Processing occurs locally in your browser's memory
• No data is transmitted to our servers or any third party
• The compressed video is generated on your device
• You download the result directly from your browser's memory

We physically cannot access your videos because they never leave your device.

Analytics & Usage Data

We use Vercel Analytics to collect anonymous, aggregated usage statistics to improve the service. This includes:

• Page views and navigation patterns
• Browser type and version
• Device type (desktop, mobile, tablet)
• General geographic region (country-level only)
• Performance metrics (page load times)

We do NOT collect:

• Your video files or any information about their content
• Personal identifying information (name, email, address, etc.)
• IP addresses or precise location data
• Browsing history or behavior outside of SqueezeVideos

All analytics data is anonymous and cannot be used to identify individual users.

Cookies & Local Storage

We use minimal cookies and local storage for essential functionality:

• Analytics cookies: To track anonymous usage statistics (via Vercel Analytics)
• Browser cache: To store FFmpeg.wasm library (~30MB) for faster subsequent compressions
• No tracking cookies: We do not use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking
